Turned from solid timber, this pendant's shade carries its grain around the surface, so light passing through warms an electric bulb into something closer to candlelight over a dinner table. It suits kitchen islands, dining tables and stairwells in Scandinavian and natural-material interiors, and comes in three sizes, from a compact 23 centimetres up to a statement 45, to match the space above it. Paired with an LED bulb it runs cool rather than heating the wood, and hangs roughly 75 to 85 centimetres above a table. Some variation in the timber colour is normal, and a dry soft cloth kept away from water keeps the finish even.
