A low, flush light marks the edge of a step or landing so the change in level is obvious underfoot after dark, rather than hidden in shadow. Its restrained circular shape suits a patio, balcony or garden path without drawing attention to itself by day. A solar panel charges through the day and switches the LED on at dusk, so there is no wiring along a staircase. Sitting low and flush, it will not catch a foot the way a taller fitting might. Fitted one per landing, a run of them reads the whole flight clearly from the bottom. Sweep leaves off the panel occasionally to keep it charging well.
